Dear Precious Friends,
As we embrace this beautiful new day, it’s important to pause and be reminded of
why we are here and what our focus is to be. Our world and all that we are dealing with can really cause us to lose focus and purpose. It’s time to awaken to the truth of Gods word. This spoke greatly to my heart and I had to share.
Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Matthew 6:20–21
God wants us to live with the end in mind. He’s set eternity in our hearts. How we live here deeply impacts how we’ll live there, when we’re forever with Him. How we steward our time, treasure, and talents impacts what kind of stewardship awaits us on the other side. And when it comes to our desires, Jesus reminds us that they start with what we treasure. Whatever we hold closest to our hearts fuels our daily desires. Hold heaven close. Treasure Jesus most. Storing up treasures in heaven means to live like His promises are true, to remember what He values, and to tend to His concerns on the earth today. We lose our reward when we live out of our insecurities or when we misuse our time, treasure, and talents to prove something Jesus has already proven and paid for. But when we—out of loving response for all God has done—give a cup of water, offer a kind word, give a gift, forgive an enemy, move forward in faith, or pray a bold prayer, heaven takes note and Jesus rewards. This earth will pass away. Sin, self-ambition, pride in our accomplishments will all pass away too. Whatever we do for Jesus will last.

Only one life twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.
Amen!
