Faith Grows

Dear Precious Friends,
On this beautiful new day, this gift from God, such a precious gift knowing we are here for a reason and our time is limited as we live each day as if it were our last and are reminded to grow in wisdom as we number our days.
I love this scripture from 2 Thes 1:3. The Apostle Paul is writing about two marks of a healthy Christian, faith and love. But it is not just faith and love, it is faith that is growing more and more and a love that is increasing. God’s desire is that our faith grows continuously as we walk with Him. He never intended belief to be a one-time event with a single purpose of ushering us into salvation. As we grow in our walk with the Lord, the greater our trust should become. Yet there are many Christians who have stayed at the same level of faith throughout life.
Daily Devo shares this about a growing faith and love: A growing faith is one that trusts God more and more. It is one that believes in God for great and mighty things. It is a faith that trusts even when circumstances scare us to the core. It is a faith that knows God and spends time understanding His love and power. It is a faith that is exercised in prayer and patience trusting God with every circumstance. And growing love, what of that? It is a love that is steeped in action. A love that reaches out to those in need. A love that drops superficiality and replaces it with genuine concern. A growing love is sacrificial and selfless. It is a love that forgives and then forgives again. Love prefers others above itself. The Apostle Peter also writes that we are to grow in our faith and love. In his letter he says, “For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:8. So today, ask God to help you increase your faith and love.
May we grow in faith and love all of our days as we place Jesus first and commit to living our lives in Him.
AMEN!
May be an image of nature, tree, mountain and text that says '2 Thessalonians 1:3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing hearjesusehrist blogspot.in'
