Dear Precious Friends,
On this Wonderful Wednesday I pray you are waking up to a new day encouraged knowing the battles of life have already been won by our Lord and Savior on the cross. It's so easy to get caught up in our day to day circumstances and get caught up in our emotions instead of GOd's truth. .
So my friends, How do we win the battles of life? We may be facing a battle that seems impossible or we may feel like things are hopeless, but God created us to overcome every battle we face. So we have to remember God's truth and stand on it!!
We are more than conquerors through Christ. (Romans 8:37) So, How do we win the battles of life? Here is one huge Biblical truth that is a key to victory for you.
THE BATTLE IS NOT OURS ( IT'S SO EASY TO FORGET)
In John 16:33 Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble.” Jesus didn’t say you might encounter trouble, He said there will be battles in life. However, He didn’t stop there. He also said, “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
If you want to live a life of victory every day you need to know how to win the battles in life. The good news is in Jesus you have the victory over anything and everything that tries to come against you. The key is – knowing you don’t have to face the battle alone. Jesus is with you. The battle is not yours! In fact that is exactly what the Lord told the nation of Israel in 2 Chronicles 20:15, “…Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, …”
Israel was surrounded by 3 enemy armies. Those armies were greater, better equipped and better trained. Israel did not know what to do. It looked hopeless. So, King Jehoshaphat said lets pray and the the Lord responded, “…You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.” The battle was not theirs it belonged to the Lord.
Instead of trying to fight the enemy with the sword and spear Jehoshaphat did what the Lord said to do and sent out the praisers and God defeated the armies of Moab, Ammon and Mount Seir. Israel won the victory.
Like the Israelite s when faced with what seems to be an impossible battle, all you need to do is look to the Lord, then take up your position and stand firm. Put your trust in God’s plan and His power and He, will bring the victory! “He always causes us to triumph.” (2Corinthians 2:14) The battle is not ours – it belongs to the Lord.
Even though the battle is not ours God still requires us to face the enemy. In 2 Chronicles 20:16 God tells the Israelite s, “Tomorrow march down against them (the enemy).” Even though God assured them the battle wasn’t theirs He made them go out and face the enemy. The issue is where is our trust? Is it in God or is in it ourselves and our ability?
We must always remember not to try and fight the battles of life in our own strength. The apostle Paul gives us these words of encouragement, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10). In other words don’t rely on your own strength. Trust the Lord – the battle is not your, it’s belongs to the Lord.
The next time we are in a battle remember we are not alone. The Lord is with us and the battle is not ours! We must Ask the Lord for help, go out and face whatever the enemy is and then stand firm and see the strength and power of the Lord. The victory has already been won! Armor up my friend and remember When we praise the Lord, Satan flees!! He can't handle the name Jesus! He is the only armor we need!
Can I get an AMEN!!!
