Dear Precious Friends,
I pray you are starting your Soul-Fill Sunday with rich time in the presence of God. This scripture is so rich and I love the second part after we lay the pieces of our life on the altar we wait for His fire to fall upon my heart.
Let’s make sure we don’t allow these difficult times to cause us to run to fear. The best way to do this is to lay out the pieces of our life each morning and wait on his fire to fall upon our hearts.
We are still here for a reason.
God still has work for us to do
During these times we have to step up in our faith and share Jesus with all we come on contact with.
The only way to do this is to fill our soul with His word and time with Him so we have all we need. Gods word is personal provision. We never go hungry again and we know our identity and what to do in all circumstances!
Bible study, meditation on the Word, and prayer are necessities for a healthy Christian life and are good to practice at any time of the day or night, according to the constraints of time and responsibilities of each individual. Other things being equal, however, the best time of all is in the early morning. A believer who awakens each morning to the voice of the Lord in His Word will, in turn, be ready to speak words of blessing to others through the day. And as we, in turn, look up to Him each morning in prayer, He will hear and direct our steps through the day.
This was the example set by the Lord Jesus Himself: "And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed". If even Jesus Christ needed such a quiet time early in the morning set aside to fellowship with His Father, we also would do well to follow.
Note the prayer of David: "Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee".
We urgently need to know the way we should walk each day, for it is so easy to get turned aside into our own ways, and the obvious time to pray for guidance is at the very beginning of every day.
Have a beautiful spirit filled day walking in the Spirit and truth of our Lord so we can live the abundant life he has for us despite what is going on around us.
Amen!!
