Dear Precious Friends,
It's a beautiful new day and I pray you are feeling peace at the start of a new day. With the outside circumstances changing our daily lives and how we live, it can be easy to fall into that overwhelm feeling, where worry steps in. So what are we to do? Our Pastor is doing an amazing 50 day teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit inside of us and how to tap into and have this power. It starts with filling our mind with God's word and His truth. When the outside world steps in and threatens our peace it's time to fill ourselves with God's truth.
Here are a few reminders of truth when this starts to threaten our peace....
Ephesians 6:10-12
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Is your armor on today?
When you wake up each morning, before you even get out of bed, you have to put your armor on.
I have my word in my heart – the sword of the spirit. I have the helmet of salvation allowing me to only have thoughts that are pure and noble. I have my feet dressed in peace. Is your armor on today?
Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Our Savior – your Father – takes care of the birds of the air, the lilies of the field, the smallest grain of sand and the tiniest leaves on the trees – how much more does He care for you?
Do not worry about tomorrow, the next week, the next month, the next year – trust that The Lord has it and is already there making a way for you.
MATTHEW 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Psalm 139:23-24
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Lord, I pray that you search us today and know us. Create in us a clean heart and remove anything that is not of You. Any burden, any thought, any task that is not You, I pray that we have the strength to let it go as You lead us into everlasting light.
PSALM 139:23-24 “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
Let's fuel all the tasks in front of us with Love.
Psalm 119:114
“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.”
When we are overwhelmed His Word is our hope and our guide.
Open the Word when you feel you can’t go on.
Go into your bedroom, your War Room and find a minute of alone time with The Lord. He will re-align your path and give you a hope.
PSALM 119:114 "You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.”
Isaiah 41:13
“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
Wherever you are, He is your help. He is your holding you up.
He is giving you faith so you can get rid of the fear of not being able to do it all.
You can do it all . . . in His strength.
Joshua 1:5
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
“God I can’t do it.” – I will never leave you.
Rest on Him when you are overwhelmed. He is right there . . . waiting.
Galatians 6:9
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Keep going. Don’t give up. You will reap a harvest for your good works.
Whatever you do . . . don’t get weary. Your reward will be great!
GALATIANS 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Psalm 61:2
“From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
When you feel like you just can’t go on . . . call to Him and He will answer you.
He will be your rock. He will be your strength.
I hope and pray that these verses have encouraged you if you are feeling overwhelmed today. I know I needed to be reminded and constantly have to fill my mimd with truth.
Remember that our God is there to supply all our needs. He is our strong tower and our strength. It is not by our might that we can accomplish our daily tasks . . . it is by His might.
Let's go about our day and the tasks in front of us in His strength... There is nothing we can't do when we walk in His Strength!
AMEN!!!
