Dear Precious Friends,
I am so blessed to be able to pour my heart out into these devo's each day. I love the reminder and truth of God's word and yes... OF COURSE I STRUGGLE, I just don't quit!!! Life is a struggle, and Satan is determined to defeat and destroy us. Especially when we are a light in this dark world!!!
We don’t ever reach the place where we never have to fight. But it’s not just our fight. Jesus is not only with us, but He is for us. He’s at our side to strengthen us and to urge us onward.
It's so easy to focus on the times we have fallen short, yet think of the rest of the story... We wouldn't be who we are today if we had not learned the lesson we needed to learn in our weakness and God's strength had not done a true work in us!
“Don’t quit. Don’t give up.” That’s the message we need to hear. I think of the words of Isaiah: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you...; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you” (Isaiah 43:1b–2).
This is God’s promise. He doesn’t promise to take us completely out of troubles or hardships, but He does promise to be with us as we go through them. “Fear not,” He says. That’s the message we need to ponder. We don’t need to fear because God is with us. And when God is with us, what is there to worry about?
We can't do anything in our own power, but through Him we can do ALL things... ALL!!!
In our own strength we are weak... we all face things that shake us to the core....
Paul reminds us in Ephesians, "Finally , by brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph 6:10... We see in scripture over and over how God comes along side people who felt weak, inadequate and were without strength...
Then God commands them to be strong!
We are called to stand firm... in the victory that's already been won... Jesus already defeated sin, Satan and death... We are overcomer's!!!
Have an amazing day in His power, In His strength as the overcomer you are!!
