Dear Precious Friends,
On this Soul Fill Sunday We are crying out to the Lord for truth to prevail, justice to prevail and for our great country.
Psalm 86:7-NIV-When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.
this was David's prayer to the Lord.
David declares with conviction in prayer that when he is in trouble, he calls upon the Lord his God and He answers Him.
As with David, we too must call upon the Lord when the issues of our lives & country are contrary to the Word of God and what it says concerning us.
In this troubled world in which we live in, our great need for our Great God and His direction in our life should drive us to pray to our Great God, who is Mighty in power, love, grace, and mercy. Yes, He alone can deliver us from any situation that we may find ourselves in today if we call on Him.
In vs #3 of this text, David says “For unto You I cry all day long.”
David's continual prayer to God is driven not only by his awareness of who God is and His ability to deliver him, but also of his great need for God.
we are children of god and the truth about life is the fact that it is full of difficulties.... we know that jesus told us in this world you will have trouble, pain, suffering, sickness, diseases, struggles, good days, bad days, happy days and sad days. THIS IS LIFE! But take heart.. I have overcome the world!!! John 16:33
The good new today is that scripture declares in Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble.
We know this to be true because we can look back over our lives and take a peek at all the things that God has brought us through that we thought we would have never made it through, but, we stand after all the hell that we been through to testify that our God is trustworthy, faithful and true to His Word. HE WILL DELIVER US!
The point that I want to make today is that in our times of trouble or distress, NEVER stop calling upon the name of the Lord, keep praying, keep trusting and keep believing, regardless of how long it may take to get your breakthrough for our God is indeed FAITHFUL and He will hear and answer our prayers.
as people of god we must continue to Pray. We pray and He listens, He speaks and we listen. Yes, this is the kind of God we serve. He loves us and He will work all things together for our good even though they may not feel good right now. HOLD ON!
People of God, let us go with CONFIDENCE AND BOLDNESS to our Father's throne and lay all of our petitions at His throne on today. He bids you to come and He is looking to meet us there.
Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Today, let's take David's profound declaration and make it ours. Let's listen to Psalm 116:2-Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
precious friends, let us be praying with out ceasing, Calling upon the Lord our Great God and He will hear and answer our prayers!
