Memorial Day Speech by President Ronald Reagan

Dear Friends,
Wishing you great Blessings on this
MEMORIAL DAY!

On this Memorial Day weekend, we want to take a moment to remember all of those who have given their lives for our country. Our gratitude, our appreciation, our respect – it pales in light of the sacrifices you have made.

Ronald Reagan's summary here is a must watch today!

This year we have a Memorial Day that is quite different from all others.
It is time for all of us to support our neighbors and communities in a way that would make those who have died for our country both grateful and proud.
It is a time to reflect that our nation is still at war, with 50 service members killed in action in both Iraq and Afghanistan during calendar years 2019 and 2020.
It is time to grieve the veterans we have lost due to COVID-19.

It is a time to thank all of those who provide daily care to our veterans.
It is a time to thank Gold Star families for their sacrifice for their country and their fellow Americans and future generations.
It is time to remember that our Sailors and Marines are still aboard ships and subs - so pray for their safety
It is also a timely opportunity to offer our gratitude to all members of our armed forces, including our own National Guard, for their dedication to duty and service to all of us in this present time of national and state emergency.

To everyone who serves in our military and to everyone who loves someone who serves in our military, thank you. Our hearts are full, thanking God for all of you today and every day! You are true heroes.

While our weekend may be filled with adjustments to our normal family gatherings, neighborhood get-togethers, church activities and soaking in the sun, let’s take some time to meditate on God’s Word today as we reflect on the brave men and women who have served and who are serving our country. Here's a Scripture for your Memorial Day:

We always thank God for all of you, making mention of you constantly in our prayers. We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Take a moment today to call a veteran and thank them for serving and thank those and the families of those who are serving. The freedom we have came at a great cost...

The freedom we have in Christ that saved our soul is the greatest gift we've ever received. Let's be sure and spend time thanking our Lord for the gift of our salvation that cost HIm everything.. In our thanksgiving let's show through actions our gratitude.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his
life for his friends.
John 15:13

Amen!
