Dear Insiders,
It's Magnificent Monday and what a great reminder of what is most needed, esp. when we start to feel overwhelmed. Sometimes the choices WE MAKE, without prayer and proper time with the Lord cause us to feel overwhelmed. Sometimes our life is overwhelming because of life circumstances.
Sometimes He grounds us because we are so
"busy" and need our souls restored.... yes there is a cure!!!
Time spent with our Lord, being still, praying and taking in His word.
Lets commit in this season where we are preparing our hearts for lent to spending much needed time in His word... His absolute truth and daily sitting with Him! He reminds us to thank Him for the conditions that are requiring us to be still... Sometimes we get physically grounded (anyone know about this? ) Some of God's greatest works have been from sickbeds and prison cells!!! When our body is weakened, we have no choice but to search for His way in the midst of difficult circumstances.
When we desire to live close to Him, we get through these times with such strength that we can look back and see what He did in the midst of the most challenging times!
The key is to be still & trust Him. When we are, we are aware of His presence with us, even though we are cut off from the world due to our circumstance, we have His strength and power which are most effective in our weakness!!!
"But He said to me, My grace is enough for you, for My strength and power are made perfect and shwo themselves most effective in weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ may rest upon me! 2 Cor 12:9
SO my friends, when the OVERWHELM feeling starts to hit you, let it me a reminder of what is needed most....
Mary understood this as the most important thing...
Some of us tend to be more like Mary in our Christian walk, while others resemble Martha. It's likely we have qualities of both within us. We may be inclined at times to let our busy lives of service distract us from spending time with Jesus and listening to his word. It's significant to note, though, that Jesus gently admonished Martha for being "worried and upset," not for serving. Service is a good thing, but sitting at Jesus' feet is best. We must remember what is most important.
Good works should flow from a Christ-centered life; they do not produce a Christ-centered life. When we give Jesus the attention he deserves, he empowers us to serve others.
Let us remember her example and when we begin to feel life is too much, let it be the reminder, we must be still and KNOW He is God...
Let us invest in the most important time we can spend... time with our Lord.
Love you all so much!
Now can I get an Amen and please share your thoughts!!!!
