Dear Precious Friends,
I pray you are looking up no matter what season you are walking through.... What a great reminder to look above... He never fails us... David gives us a great example of turning to God in times of unrest. In Psalm 54 David opens by pleading to God and then ends with a song of joyful triumph. What David knew is that God is always faithful and he protects his children.
When studying the Psalms, I’ve noticed that David always turns to the Lord first. Similarly, in Psalm 54, J. Dolben points out that “In the first three verses, David being sought for by his enemies, prays against them. That was his course, he always began his conflict with God, contending and wrestling with him for a blessing and assistance.”
I wonder how our lives would change if, like David, we always began our conflict with God. By doing so we can reduce our stress and be more content, peaceful and joyous.
He is for us.
Friends, no matter how hard life may get sometimes let us always remember that God is for us. When we feel pain, God sees us. When we cry out, God hears us. We are not alone, and we must always remember that God is for us. He comforts us with His truth that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We must remember that no matter how uncertain our circumstances seem, God remains the same. This allows us to turn our eyes away from the ups and downs of our situations to the stability of Jesus. We set our hearts and minds on worshipping God instead of allowing distraction or the schemes of Satan to take our thoughts to untruth. I love the new song by Kari Jobe & Elevation Worship... and I love being reminded He is for us......
