He wants our whole heart.

Dear Insiders,

I love this reminder in this month of Love that the Lord wants our whole heart and He wants our heart whole.

We are to love Him first with our heart, soul, mind and strength.. and when we are broken and hurt we have to remember His promises which are true:

“I am the Lord who heals you…” (Exodus 15:26b)

When your heart is shattered, there is one truth you need to hold on to:

God loves you unconditionally.

It’s true: Satan’s lies can greatly sway you and me during those vulnerable moments. But regardless of our weakness and fears, God does hear us when we call for his help. We need to hold on to this important truth.

Yet in a traumatized state, we may not—or cannot—comprehend the depths of God’s unconditional love. To help us experience God's love and prepare our hearts for his life-changing healing, we must first know him.
That is the most important focus of our lives is to know Him... receive Him in our heart and live for Him.
When our hearts are broken let us turn to His word and remember His truths to help pull us out:

Here are seven biblical promises certain to bring hope to a broken heart.

1. 1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

For a heart that has been wounded at the hands of a person who claimed to love them, pain and fear can set in immediately. The way we view “love” and interpret affection may come under attack. But God doesn’t love like humans love—His love is unconditional, and isn’t defined by anxiety or broken promises.

2. Psalm 147:3
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Our pain isn’t hidden from God; rather, He offers us relief and healing, if we show Him our brokenness and invite Him into the pain.

3. John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

God doesn’t change His mind after making a promise or giving us a blessing. When He gives, He does it with no strings attached. Peace, even in the middle of a battle, is His gift to us when we lean into Him.

4. Psalm 51:17
“…A broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”

When God looks at us, even in our messiest, most broken state, He doesn’t see us covered in shame. Instead, He is a loving God who asks to sit with and comfort us while we heal.

5. 2 Corinthians 12:9
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.”

Our society doesn’t value weakness, but God tells us that His love for us shines brightly in the darkness of our struggle. Our inability to deal with a situation gives Him a chance to step in and show us that His strength will lift the weight of disappointment, every single time.

6. Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Your burdens are not too heavy for God to bear. He created you to be dependent on Him, and He rejoices in lightening our load.

7. Basically all of Isaiah 54
Written as an allegory to the nation of Israel, God speaks to the people the way a husband would comfort a despairing wife—tenderly, patiently and with promises of hope.

Verse 4 reads, “Do not be afraid, you won’t be put to shame; do not fear disgrace, for you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.”

When we remember His truth as we are walking through broken hearts over life, grief, heartache, health, whatever your circumstance may be.. let us remember His truths. As followers of Christ, we need to be there for each other. Reach out to someone who has a broken heart today.

If it's you... reach out to a sister in Christ to help you come up for air and know how loved you are...

Have a Super Saturday!!!
AMEN!!!
