God's Truth

Dear Precious Friends,

It's so important we keep staying in God's word and reminding ourselves of God's truth. God loves us more than we can ever think or imagine. He has a purpose for everything and will waste nothing. While walking through these difficult times it is so easy to spiral down into a place where we wonder God where are you?

Thats where we go to His word... His word is truth... We are more than conquerors to Him who loves us.

Here are a few examples of this truth:

When the Apostle Paul wrote to a church that struggled with finding a purpose behind their pain, he wrote timeless words that still ring true today: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4:16-17, NIV). God sees our pain and has a crown of life waiting in store for those of us who believe.

James describes a life of perseverance as one “not lacking anything.” To get everything we need for life, pain is an absolute necessity. Without pain, we would never truly appreciate what hope is. Without pain, we would too easily forget our need for God. Without pain, we would neglect our need for saving and salvation. Pain heightens your senses and gives us a greater awareness of the more important things in life: love, God, family, hope.

Let's show our faith in God as we walk through these trials and trust in the Lord to use our trials to strengthen our faith. His word it truth...

Whether we’re going through something big or small, pain is an ever-present constant in our lives. But we never have to struggle with finding a purpose behind our pain. We can take comfort in the timeless words of James 1:2-4, and discover the purpose behind your pain. “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-4, NIV).

Here are a few more reminders of truth:

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 112: 1, 7-8 Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord. Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid.

2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

AMEN!!
