Dear Precious Friends,
Happy TGIFF Friday! (Thank God I'm Forgiven Friday)
I'm in awe when I think about the fact that God's thoughts and understanding are far beyond human comprehension (Isaiah 55:8–9). In this scripture, David compares God's thoughts to grains of sand: numerous and beyond a person's ability to count.
David testifies that when he awakes, he is still with God. This means he meditates on God's attributes during the night and during his waking hours. He responds to God's constant thoughts toward him by thinking deeply about God. He is aware that God is still with him in the morning, and this awareness prompts him to adore God. Psalm 139:18.
When we walk closely with God and meditate on His promises and know them well.. esp. in the midst of fear and difficulties, we experience God's presence in an amazing way. Knowing He is with us, knowing His word, knowing His promises are Yes and Amen elevates us above our circumstances. We can speak the promises of God over those we love, and those who are in our lives.
God's presence in our lives is never interrupted. He is with us at all times, surrounding us with His love. This amazing truth is such a great reminder as we are bombarded each day with media and messages that can send us in a downward spiral. We praise the Lord with things are good and bad because He loves us. He is there for us and when we pray, we usher down His glory and power over all things.
The apostle Paul declared that nothing can separate from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. He wrote: "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38–39).
Let's meditate on His word, His promises at all times. Here are
a few of His promises and may we stand firm knowing our Lord loves us and has power over all and the victory has already been won.
