Do you have a faith that is contagious?
One of my favorite scriptures comes from Colossians 3:
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord, not for men.
Colossians 3:23 NIV
Are you genuinely excited about your faith? And do you make your enthusiasm known to those around you? Or are you a "silent ambassador" for Christ? God's preference is clear: He intends that we stand before others and proclaim your faith.
Genuine, heartfelt Christianity is contagious. If we enjoy a life-altering relationship with God, that relationship will have an impact on others—perhaps a profound impact. We just can't help it!! We can't stop sharing the gospel and the fire we have in us shines through us!!
Are you highly contagious? I mean……are you infectious enough to spread what is in you? Do people close to you catch fast the faith, love, kindness, patience, faithfulness, loyalty, honesty in you? God is looking for someone who is spiritually contagious! Are you ready?
What sets your heart on fire! Are we saturated with the presence of God! Are we contagious! Do you hear me?
”Faithfulness in one produces faithfulness in another. And the chain is unending.”
A very good example I can give of such contagious faith, love and determination found in the Bible is the church of the Thessalonians!
My High School girls and I are studying 1 THessalonians and we love the passion Paul has for the Thessalonians who are on fire for the Lord even at a high cost!
1 Thessalonians 1:5”..because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction…”
The Thessalonians received the message in much affliction from the Apostle and the ministers of God, they did not treat it carelessly but they held on to it diligently, obeyed their instructions and imitated the good examples of the apostles and ministers of Christ. Their lives were transformed and they became followers of the Lord! Fire was spreading! Wait a minute, it did not stop here, they became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia and their faith in God has gone forth everywhere! Fabulous!
Jesus said Mathew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.”
If you are living like a rat in the hole, come out today! Arise and shine for God! We can't help it!!!! WOOT WOOT!
Does Christ reign over your life? Then share your testimony and your excitement. The world needs both. In order for our faith to be effective we have to feed it!!!
