Dear Precious Friends,
When praying about what to post today, God shared with me the amazing scripture from 2Cor 10:1-5.
God has gotten our attention. This is an opportunity to take this space and time away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and re-evaluate what matters most.
WINSTON Churchill says "Never let a good crisis go to waste."
This is our time to draw near to God , to see what He wants to say to us through this trial we are facing. The great danger is that we turn our concern into fear.
WE CAN NOT let fear become our virus.
There may be more people infected by fear than the virus. The Bible makes it clear.. don’t be controlled by fear.. don’t let fear own your emotions, your decisions, your choices.
Our Heavenly Father is too awesome for this. It doesn’t do any good to live in fear.
2 cor 10:5 REMINDS US take every thought captive to obedience to christ. the news affects our thinking..
We look at the uncertainty and when that news consumes us it not only affects how we think but how we feel..,
HOW DO WE TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE TO CHRIST
What does this mean?
Let's let God affect our emotions more than the media. God doesn’t operate with question marks! He doesn’t operate with confusion.. He operates in certainty and stability. We’ve never needed God more than we need Him now.
He’s calling us back to Him
HE’s speaking and screaming to us.
As we go through the day, we can catch thoughts and attitudes that are contrary to God’s will and keep them from gaining control of our mind and heart.
Paul explains how this is possible: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.’’ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
It is written that we need to battle to keep our thoughts pure, but it is also written that we have weapons to fight with!
WOW WOW WOW!
We, like Paul, are merely weak humans, but we don't need to use human plans and methods to win our battles. God's mightY weapons are available to us as we fight against the Devils "Strongholds" We must choose which method to use.. God's or the worlds?
Paul assures us that God's mighty weapons are Prayer , Faith, Hope, Love, God's Word, THE Holy Spirit... these are powerful are our weapons!!! ARMOR UP!!!
God is the commander in chief.. our thoughts must be submitted to His control as we live for Him..
SO AS WE START OUR DAY ASKING THE HOLY SPIRIT TO LEAD US... TAKING IN OUR WORSHIP SONG, ASKING FORGIVENESS OF THE SINS THAT SEPARATE US FROM HIM,PRAY AND SHARE YOUR REQUESTS WITH OUR LORD, ESP. PRAY FOR OUR FRONT LINE MEN AND WOMEN, THE VIRUS TO STOP, TO FORGIVE US OF TURNING AWAY FROM OUR LORD...
WE HAVE 2 CHOICES.. .WALK IN THE TRUTH OF THE LORD AND HIS WORD OR LET THE WORLD, FEAR AND UNCERTAINTY TAKE US DOWN..
CATCH YOURSELF WHEN THE THOUGHT STARTS THAT ISN'T FROM GOD.. PUT ON YOUR SWORD AND LETS GO TO BATTLE MY FRIENDS...
WHO IS IN?????!!!!
Let's keep track of our thoughts today... are they from the world, or are they from the Lord... By listening to Christian music and taking in His word, you will be amazed at the joy you can have through your thoughts.
Be sure and reach out to at least 10 people today...
Offer to help them however you can. Send them a text that you are thinking of them... drop off a note of cheer, offer to go grocery shopping!
HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR THOUGHTS CAPTIVE TO CHRIST?
PLEASE SHARE! IT HELPS TO
SHARE WHAT WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR! I'M GRATEFUL FOR JESUS, HIS WORD, HIS TRUTH, MY FAMILY, MY CHURCH FAMILY WHICH INCLUDES YOU!!!
Share what we are grateful for.
Let's pray for those who are not ok.
It shifts the equation of our priorities.
Give thanks to the Father..
Here is a beautiful song to listen to while we worship Him and take our thoughts captive.
Let's reach out to the elderly, the sick we can all do something in a responsible way.
God matters, people matter. everything else should support these top priorities!!!.
Open God’s word, worship Him
Let God know your heart..
Let's trade our fears for trust in a God who loves us even when we are in a trial.
