Call To Me

Dear Precious Friends,
As we wake up to a new day and the many incredible blessings God gives us as His children, I pray we put as our top priority spending time with Him. He reminds us in Psalm 91:1 Make time to dwell in the secret place with the Lord. He says call to Him and He will show us great and mighty things that we do not know, that can only come from time spent with the Lord. He tells us whatever troubles we face today, God is our place of refuge we can run to, He is our safe place. Is there any coincidence this is the 9-1-1 verse?
"Strong discernment comes from time spent in the secret place with the Father.
GOD promises to reveal things to us in prayer that we couldn't get from any other source but HIM.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty
Psalms 91:1
This Psalm reminds us of the power that is available to us if we dwell, tarry, abide, sit, remain, hangout, or spend time in the secret place of the Most High. This Psalm encourages us strongly to abide in Him, because all we need for all the situations in our lives, He has taken care of (Ephesians 1:3). The psalmist was able to encourage himself that he would be delivered from the various frightening attacks of the wicked. I know sometimes we feel frightened and overwhelmed with the challenges we face, but in the midst of it all, God's deliverance will show up (Isaiah 40:29-31). He can do what He did for David, but only if we live a life that includes and involves being in the secret place of the Most High. In a day where we run to everything and everyone for answers, God says run to Me first. It is so easy to become saturated with information about Him, and not know Him in the power of His resurrection (Philippians 3:10). Satan knows if he can keep us busy with doing good things, we will become weak. Our strength and deliverance comes from Him, verse 14…"I will rescue him, I will protect him." So why not dwell, stay, and rest in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91.1).
The verse goes on to say…He is someone you can trust…He is trustworthy. He can be depended on. If He can make galaxies larger than the sun and keep them in space in the right position and right rotation, then He can be trusted. Verse 3 tells us what is ours if we abide. Surely He will, and He shall, not He may. He is absolutely able to meet our needs. I encourage you to read this Psalm so you can be reminded of all He promises to do for those who He knows by name. When we think of all that He You can know Him as Savior only, or choose to abide in Him, so you can know Him as Shepherd. A good shepherd takes care of all his sheep, none go lacking. You can be assured that no weapon formed against you will prosper. No matter how piercing the attacks may be or feel, His Word is sharpener than any two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Trusting in Him and His Word is all we need, to bring us through.
We might be in a situation right now, where we want to give up, because the emotional or physical pain is too much. Verse 11 says, "He will give His angels charge over you." Also Verse 13 says, "You will be able to tread upon the lion and the cobra, you will trample the great lion and the serpent." It could be trouble in your marriage, with your children, aging parents, or finances; no matter what it is, if you are abiding, the Psalmist says, you will find refuge under His wings.
I want to challenge us all (I always share what I need to hear) to make a commitment today to dwell daily in His Presence. Identify a daily time that we can spend in worship and praise (Ephesians 5:18-19), and we will be able to realize and enjoy His deliverance in our life. Satan will do everything he can to distract us, try to have us jump on our computer, scroll social media, do tasks first,... THIS IS OUR TOP PRIORITY.. Time dwelling in His Presence.
"With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation." Ps 91:16
Call to Him. Seek Him. Make time to dwell in the secret place.
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91:1‬
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Jeremiah 3:33
'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
Jeremiah‬ ‭29:13-14‬a
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord,
Here are a few more promises from God in Psalm 91:
I will rescue him . I will protect him. I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him. and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him. And show him my salvation.
There is great blessing as we seek after God an d choose to walk in His ways. In the midst of great darkness in this world, living in it all without His truth and freedom, would be like wallowing in a pit. No hope is found there. This world has been dark for generations since sin first entered the earth at the moment of the enemies lies. Yet God's reminders are sure, strong, and true, assuring us that in all that we walk through in this journey. His is call is always to rise above. He reminds us we are not alone. He says He will be with us, He will rescue us and shine His favor over us.
Thank you Father for your presence with us, thank you for your Almighty Shadow. Thank you that you go before us and cover us from behind. Thank you that you are in our midst and that our future is secure in the the place you are preparing for us. Your words bring such hope and comfort. Remind us of your strength today, May we see glimpses of your glory and blessing along the way as we seek after you. For victory and salvation are found in you alone.
AMEN.
