Dear Precious Friends,
It's Magnificent Monday and wow God has given us the gift of a new day... I love this reminder that when we wake up He is still with us...
He is our first thought... Lord, Thank you for another day... a gift, As your faithful servant, you have me here because you still have work for me to do so Lord... help me use the gifts you have given for your purposes. WOW...
Psalm 139:14 says you were “fearfully and wonderfully made.” He can’t stop thinking about you. Psalm 139:18 confirms it. If he could count his thoughts of you, “they would be more in number than the sand.”
Why does He love us so much? The same reason the artist loves his paintings or the boat builder loves his vessels. You are God’s idea. And He has only good ideas. Paul said in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” You matter to God!
Psalm 139 is an amazing Psalm to be reminded of His great love for us. I pray we can all take time today to take in this incredible Psalm and think of the incredible gift God has given us through Jesus that we can have a personal relationship with Him... that the creator of the universe loves us this much!!!
His word in Psalm 139:18 reminds us: When I awake, I am still with thee. It is no small advantage to the holy life to "begin the day with God.
The love He has for us has no measure.... David reminds us: If I should count the ways you love me, it is more in number than the sand. This figure shows the thoughts of God to be altogether innumerable; for nothing can surpass in number the grains of sand which belt the main ocean and all the minor seas. The task of counting God's thoughts of love would be a never ending one. God thinks upon us infinitely: there is a limit to the act of creation, but not to the might of divine love.
When I awake, I am still with thee. His thoughts of love for us are so many that our mind should never get away from them, they surround me at all hours. I go to my bed, and God is my last thought; and when I wake I find my mind still hovering about his palace gates; God is ever with me, and I am ever with him. This is life indeed. If during sleep my mind wanders away into dreams, yet it only wanders upon holy ground, and the moment I wake my heart is back with its Lord. The Psalmist does not say, "When I awake, I return to thee", but, "I am still with thee"; as if his meditations were continuous, and his communion unbroken.
One day... we will lie down to sleep for the last time: God grant that when the trumpet of the archangel shall waken us we may find ourselves still with him.
AMEN!!
There is just one thing left to do...
Go out and share that love with all we come in contact with my friends!!
