Dear Precious Friends,
As we embrace this beautiful cool crisp morning, I pray we can step back and remember the promises of God which are yes and Amen. I love sharing each day what I need to be reminded of.
1 Corinthians 1:20
“For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
The Bible is God’s Word, filled with promises for you and I. The verse says the promises find their Yes in him. This means that it’s in Christ and through Him that we lay hold of the promises of God and see their manifestations in our lives.
Jesus explains this to His disciples in John 14:13; whatever we demand as being our rights through His name, it will be done for us. We understand our rights in God based on what His Word says. God is a God of integrity and when He speaks, it’s because He wills it so (Numbers 23:19). When we read the Bible, read with a sense of reverence, because God is speaking to us. Peter likens the Word to the voice they heard, when the clouds opened and God spoke. He calls it the prophetic word made sure (2 Peter 1:19).
All of God’s promises are sure because “God cannot lie.” Hebrews 6:18 declares that God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who seek God for shelter can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. WOW!!! What a promise God has granted to us who believe.
God’s Word declares this morning that God’s promises are “Yes and Amen.”The promises of God are not “yes” then “no.” They’re not “I don’t know” or “Maybe so.” The promises of God are “Yes!” Will He save you? “Yes!” Will He heal you? “Yes!” Will He deliver you? “Yes!” Will He set you free? “Yes!” Will He supply all your needs? “Yes!” The promises of God are “Yes” and the promises of God are “Amen.” word is filled with promises for us as His children. Maybe today we are crying out that we need help. Saying God please help me. Where there is a battle raging and you are longing for someone to just reach out their hand and make all the pain and heaviness of a burden to go away; where we just want for someone to rescue us from your current situation. Where we feel like this battle is so overwhelming and the weariness is about to take over and consume us. If this is how you are feeling, God is reaching out His hand to you. God is releasing you from the heaviness of that burden right now in the mighty name of Jesus! Weariness be gone in Jesus’ mighty name! Jesus wants to rescue us. He is coming after us with such a vengeance for all that has come against us in this time. He is going to block all that is trying to prevent us from reaching The Promises of God for our life. The battle that has unjustly tried to block , consume, and make us give up ends right now in Jesus’ mighty name!
Our help is here and His name is Jesus.
