Dear Precious Friends,
On this beautiful new day, this gift from God, this TGIFF (Thank God I'm Forgiven Friday) I pray we are waking up seeking Him first and keeping our eyes and hearts fixed on Him.
We can really complicate life, can't we? There are so many motivations that keep us crazy with demands. There are so many things that we think we must do that we have lost sight of what is really important. Jesus comes along and says to us, "Stop the insanity! Stop filling your life with so many other things and let Me fulfill your real need." You see, Jesus knows what really satisfies and He offers it to all His followers. He said, "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." The real secret to this life is to live in His Kingdom, instead of our own. We need to live in this world with heaven's priority. When we lose sight of God, it’s pretty easy to get caught up in the ways of the world. To become distracted by our cares and concerns of life.
In a sense, we become like Peter when he walked on water. He took his eye off Jesus for just a moment, and that caused him to sink. Peter’s faith wavered, and that is why he began to sink.
Peter took his eye off Jesus as he heard the sound of a wrestling wind. Peter became distracted by a concern, when his focus should have remained on Christ. As Jesus was the one who enabled him to walk on water in the first place, (Matthew 14:28-31).He loves us so much. Trust Him, live for Him and He promises that He will give you everything you need.
