Dear Precious Friends,
As we begin a new week we are reminded we are here because God has a purpose for our lives and He knew we would be here for such a time as this. We are reminded to remember the number of our days are few and for the Lord to "Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom."Psalm 90:12
When praying this morning about what to share I was brought to this warriors prayer.
Our Pastor had an amazing message this weekend and he reminded us that if we had a fugitive outside our home in our yard, how would we respond... ???? Would we walk outside like it was a normal day or would we protect ourselves inside. Of course we would lock the house, take the necessary precautions to be ready in case the fugitive broke in our home, etc...
Well.. we have the same reminder today that before we walk outside our home, we must armor up!!! There is a true battle going on and we can have spiritual victory before we walk out our door!!! This Warriors prayer takes Ephesians 6 and we can have true victory in Him.When we pray God's word over our lives, our children's lives and our family... we can stand firm in this battle.
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
WE KNOW WHO THE VICTOR IS!!!!! Let's walk in this victory my friends!!!
Armor up... The Battle is real. But we need to get serious to fight off the enemy. Whenever God shows us an area in our life where the enemy is attacking, that’s not the time to sit back and do nothing. It’s time to get serious and fight back against Satan.
God’s plan is for us to be more than conquerors in Christ. We don’t have to live enslaved to the enemy’s plan. We can decide right now to do what you need to do. Get serious with God, follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and stay on guard against the enemy. Choose today to follow God’s plan for your life, not Satan’s, and we will defeat the enemy at every turn.
ARMOR UP!!!!
