Dear Precious Friends,
On this Fill our Soul Sunday I pray you are able to worship at a Bible teaching, Holy Spirit Filled church filled with believers and great teaching as well as fellowship with others.
Today my heart is very heavy for some special special friends who have had a hard circumstance and difficult situation.
If you are walking through a tough time,
This is for you.
"I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
I know in my spirit some of us need to hear this today. Jesus understands. He knows how it feels to be betrayed, abandoned, hated. Jesus knows what it feels like to hurt. He lived in a body just like you have. He was just as human as you are. HEBREWS 4:15 says "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin." As followers of Christ we are NEVER alone when we are feeling hurt. Jesus promised He would NEVER leave us or forsake us. He is here with us, and He understands. He is not here to condemn us, but to help us as much as we will allow Him to help us.
Sometimes when we are hurt we want to blame God instead of realizing He did not cause our pain but is there to help us heal from our hurt. Who could possibly understand more than our Lord who was beaten, betrayed and killed for His incredible obedience to the Father and His love for us.
Sometimes we want to say, "If God really is with me, then why did this bad thing happen to me in the first place?" or "If God is with me, then why does He not just automatically fix everything and make every bad thing go away?"
We may not know all the answers to those questions, but we know there are answers. So we must focus on what we do know. Gods attributes, His word, His truth, His demonstration of love. If we are in a place of employment or ministry and He wants us elsewhere for our good, and we don’t listen,... then as His children He will move us and do whatever it takes. At the time we are stunned, hurt, feel unspeakable deceit, hurt and pain and then be reminded this is not even close to what Jesus went through for each one of us.
And we know that God loves us more than we can even understand because He proved it at Calvary on the cross.
So we know we can trust God. He loves us so much. He is with us now, and He will be with us tomorrow.
Speak these words that no matter what we face: I will never have to face anything alone, for Jesus is with me.
You are greatly loved and precious to our Lord...
Never forget he promised to never leave us or forsake us.
He didn’t promise it would be easy, He promised there would be trouble as John 16:33 reminds us. However the next verse is Take heart, I have overcome the world
Amen
