Dear Precious Friends,
This is one of my favorite scriptures and I love this image. Eagles were my Dad's favorite and this scripture was our theme verse at His celebration of life.
These powerful creatures are regarded in The Bible as a sign of mercy and divine power.
It’s believed that to have faith in God is to soar high like an eagle.
Eagles are often found on state flags because they represent courage and freedom and have immense strength and skill. They are amazing creatures....
Scripture shows us time and time again that waiting on God's timing is always our best option. I marvel at God's wisdom and patience is still something I struggle with.
Yesterday was a tough day as Rick and I met with the radiology oncologist. We face difficult things with his cancer treatment and we had some other challenging news. If you are as human as me, I have my moments. I hope in the Lord and trust in Him for all things and am still in shock He didn't already heal Rick but I know God answers the way that is His plan and He works all things together for Good... I know God's truth, I know His word and I'm trusting Him to heal Rick the way we are praying and for God to be glorified through this process no matter the outcome.. I am praying for all our friends walking through cancer and serious health issues!!!
WAITING..... OH MY SOUL... HOW HARD IS THIS??? ANYONE ELSE???
What I have discovered is how God shows up in times of waiting, and how many lessons I have learned as a result of waiting and trusting the process.
I see it in the doors He opens (or shuts) when I fully trust Him and stop relying on my own wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 one of my life verses says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Can I confirm what you’ve probably already been thinking? Waiting on God is HARD. His plans are usually different than ours – His ways are usually different than ours. But guess what I’ve discovered? His plans are ALWAYS better than mine.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NIV
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; Psalm 37:7a NIV
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14 NIV
I pray all of us have our strength renewed as we wait on the Lord and walk in His power through this difficult time. Our testimony is much more powerful in times of difficulty and His power is our strength in weakness. When I'm weak I'm strong because I no longer rely on my strength.. But on Him and His strength.
Please share how you are relying on His strength during this time of uncertainty and difficulty and your favorite scriptures that carry you through these difficult times!!!
Let's go about our day remembering this image, hoping in the Lord, having our strength renewed and soaring on wings like eagles! Let us run and not grow weary, let us walk on not grow faint!
WHO WILL JOIN ME??? AMEN!
