Dear Precious Friends,
On this beautiful new day, this gift from God, I pray you are waking up knowing the Lord is with you, He loves you so much and no matter what season of life you are walking through, He will and is carrying you. His word is our truth. His word encourages us today if we find ourselves in one of those seasons when our hearts are heavy over our circumstances that are beyond our control. The promises of God give us great hope to the faint-hearted, and providing encouragement to the weary.
When we look at Jeremiah 29:13 we are reminded that though the context of this verse is Israel's Babylonian captivity and their eventual restoration and redemption, this precious verse states an eternal principle and timeless promise - that the Lord is ever near to all who seek Him, and those that search for Him ALL their heart, are certain of finding Him. This is a verse that promises all those who seek the Lord in spirit and in truth, will be sure to find Him, for the Lord has promised, "you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart."
Here are just a few of His promises. When we search the context these were written in, we see the writers who are sharing what God has given them to share are walking through very difficult times. Turn to the Lord and seek Him with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13). He is your anchor for the soul, firm and secure,(Hebrews 6:19) you are shelter in the storm, your strong tower to which you could run to and find refuge." (Proverbs 18:10). When we find ourselves in the midst of the storm, Jesus walks on the water (Matthew 14:25) and comes to us and fill those hurting places, giving us strength in our weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9) and "beauty for our ashes" (Isaiah 61:3). And we can hear as He gently whispers."Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10).
I pray as we go out into this new day, we can cling to these promises knowing He is the Word made flesh Who came to dwell among His people and to shine light into our darkened hearts.
We have been promised that when we seek Him and search for Him with ALL our heart will find Him. Let us, therefore, with wholeness of heart, fervency of spirit, sincerity of soul, and diligence of mind, freely abandon the good to search for the very best, knowing that ALL who seek the Lord, will find Him to be rest for their soul, healing for their heart, hope for the future, and life everlasting.
Praise God that ALL who seek Him and search for Him have been promised, in His WORD, that He will be everything they need, when they search for Him with their whole heart.
