No matter what we are walking through Jesus feels our hurt and bears our burden. Jesus Wept...
What a powerful scripture and one we can remember!
When we walk through dark and difficult situations, we can feel overwhelmed by our sadness and alone in our sorrow. It feels like no one truly understands what we’re going through, leading us to a place of loneliness.
God understands our pain, and is weeping with us.
Isaiah 53:3-4 describes Jesus, the son of God, in this way: “He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief...Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down.”
God’s Word tells us that Jesus experienced sorrow and grief just like we do. And not only that, He personally carried our heartache and was weighed down by what breaks our heart when He died on the cross in our place.
This means that no matter how isolated we may feel in our grief, we are not alone, because Jesus feels it too. He cares about us, and He cares deeply about what we’re going through.
In our sadness, Jesus is there.
When our hearts are breaking, Jesus weeps with us.
Through our tears, Jesus is comforting us.
When we experience grief, we can remind ourselves that God is right there, grieving with us.
I pray no matter what we are walking through we remember these truths and our pain is lifted to the one who carries them.
