Dear Precious Friends,
As we go into a new week I am so incredibly encouraged by what took place this weekend in Washington D.C.
This is such a beautiful picture of what happens when God's children come together to reflect the light of Christ.
How amazing is this sight? This past weekend this beautiful sight is from the National Day of Prayer in Washington, D.C. I'm sharing what our Pastor shared in service yesterday because he was there.
This was a historical day in our nation.. A spiritual event took place like nothing we've seen before. Look at this picture and look at how many gathered to do a prayer walk and another group of prayer warriors asked forgiveness of all the sins we've committed as a nation. For 12 hours they asked forgiveness... hundreds of thousands of Christians gathered from every single state of the union... While thousands walked and prayed, thousands kneeled down and prayed for forgiveness of all our sinfulness as a nation and how we have turned from God.
We are mourning and crying out over the sins of our country and we are called to repent.
2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
We are so blessed by God's grace... It allows us to have access to our Lord through Jesus... This impacts us in such a powerful way...
We are called to be salt and light. We can all be a part of changing our nation... it's how we live our lives every single day. We are called to be World Changers... each of us can do our part.
When we reflect Jesus we light up the world... The only way we can do this is to be in His presence and know Him, Know His word so we can reflect Him. The power of God is for us to die to self and shine for Him. We are either a light and darkness flees from us or we are part of the darkness... Are we shining for Jesus? We are Salt and Light for Jesus! We are changing agents for the world we live in!
How do we let our lights shine in a dark world? We have to know why we are here? Why are we here?
Love God, Love our neighbor as ourselves.. Share Jesus with all we come in contact with.
This means every part of our lives ... every detail.. This means... Spend time with our Lord, Be in His presence, Intercede and pray, Shine His light..
Every part of our lives can reflect Him.... This includes our "work".... Our work is not for us to make money.. our work is our call to use the gifts God has given us to be salt and light.
No matter our circumstances we are called to share Jesus. It's not about us... It's about our purpose and what are we living for.
Our call in life is to live this out. He is the way the truth and the life. We must die to self and let Jesus live through us.
God wants to move through each of us...
We must ask ourselves this question: Are you for Him or against Him? I believe if you are part of this group you are one of His... you are for Him...
Let's go out and shine the Light of Christ today in a dark world.
Only one life twill soon be past, only whats done for Christ will last. This world needs us.
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ. 2 Cor 4:16:
AMEN.
