Dear Precious Friends,
On this Fill our Soul Sunday, I pray you are able to gather at an amazing Bible Teaching church filled with the Holy Spirit and beautiful worship that takes you to the throne of God.
I am so touched by this reminder on how we battle. We know we are either in a battle, coming out of a battle or getting ready for a battle. So what do we do?
The way you learn to do battle is to walk through the battle. The way you learn to be internally steady is for the storm around you to rage. In the midst of adversity, you learn to lean on the Rock. Strength is forged through trouble. Trials teach us to sharpen our sword.
We all have private battles we are facing. Let's turn to God's word .
In Joshua 6-10, we see God helped Israel have victory. He caused the walls of Jericho to fall down and stopped the sun in the sky, so Israel could fight all night long and win!
We know through the reading of scripture that God goes before us in all of our battles. He fights for us.
If you you wearing yourself out trying to battle your battles on your own, turn to the one who fights our battles... the one thing we must have is faith!
God’s battle plan looks nothing like man’s. His ways are higher than ours. God has given us spiritual armor to fight. But if the battle belongs to the Lord – then how DO we fight?
Here’s 10 Verses to Remember in the Midst of Your Battle
1.) Be in God’s Word
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
(Joshua 1:8)
2.) Have courage. God is with you.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9)
3.) The Lord is on your side!
For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.
(Deuteronomy 20:4)
4.) Do not give way to fear.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
(Deuteronomy 31:6)
5.) You are not alone. His presence is with you.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
(Psalm 46:1)
6.) Be still. Rest in God.
Be still, and know that I am God.
(Psalm 46:10)
7.) Let God be your strength.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
(Isaiah 41:10)
8.) You are blessed when you remain steadfast.
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
(James 1:12)
9.) Stand up to the devil’s schemes.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
(Ephesians 6:11)
10.) You are an overcomer because your God is greater!
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
(1 John 4:4)
I hope that you will not just skim these verses but that you will read them, meditate on them and perhaps even memorize them.
It is God’s Word that will strengthen you, stabilize you, fill you with faith and give you courage in the midst of your battles.
Keep walking with the King and I pray today your soul is filled with all things Jesus.
AMEN!
