Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Dear Precious Friends,
On this beautiful new day, I love how God always meets us where we are. Today our Fruit of the Spirit to examine our hearts and ask God to show us those things we are needing to work on, is Kindness. Yesterday I was greatly challenged by a message sent to me by someone who knows how passionate I am about our current state of affairs with the election, etc... and I did NOT want to respond in KINDNESS/ GENTLENESS! YIKES... SO I settled myself and did NOT respond... It took all God's power and a talk with my wonderful husband to NOT reply . James tells to us be slow to speak, quick to listen and slow to get angry. Instead I was reminded that my heart is broken by those who cannot see and the prayer is for the eyes of the blind to be awakened by the Holy Spirit to God's truth.
I don't know about you, but this is definitely a message I needed to see today. Please share if you needed this message as well!!
SO here we are
"The Fruit of the Holy Spirit – What is kindness?"
Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruit of the Spirit—the resulting character of someone who is allowing the Holy Spirit to develop maturity in his or her life. The fifth characteristic, kindness, is called “gentleness” in the KJV.
The Greek word for “kindness” is chrēstotēs. It means “benignity, tender concern, uprightness.” It is kindness of heart and kindness of act.
Kindness is the characteristic that led God to provide salvation for us (Titus 3:4-5; Romans 2:4; 11:22). Kindness leads God to give us green pastures, quiet waters, and the restoration of our souls when we’re weary (Psalm 23:2-3). It is God’s tender care that makes Him want to gather us under His wings, to protect us and keep us close to Him (Psalm 17:8; 36:7; 61:4; Matthew 23:37). God). On multiple occasions, kindness induced Jesus to stop what He was doing and help others in need (Mark 6:34; Mark 7:29; Mark 10:46-52). And kindness leads the Good Shepherd to rescue us when we stray (Luke 15:3-7). In kindness He “gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young” (Isaiah 40:11).
When we exhibit the kindness of God, we are tender, benevolent, and useful to others. Every action, every word will have the flavor of grace in it. To maintain this attitude toward those we love is hard enough. To express kindness toward those who are against us requires the work of God (2 Corinthians 6:4-6). That is why kindness is a fruit of the Spirit.
WOW EVERY ACTION HAS THE FLAVOR OF GRACE IN IT....
Thank you Father for meeting us where we are... That is an incredible reminder of what our response is in ALL things as well as speaking the truth in love...
It doesn’t matter who you voted for...we are the church of Jesus Christ. Jesus is King!! As the worshippers of King Jesus inform our hearts of the condition of our mind and how we live in every aspect of our mind… Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of all..
He is God and no one is like Him.. His kingdom lasts forever.
Our hope is not in a government.. our hope comes from the Lord…
He is the only one who is holy and worthy in all ways.
Pray for those in authority.
IN Romans, it says everyone in authority is placed in authority by God…
Stretch our hands and lets surrender the whole nation to Him.
Let’s pray for those in authority, and remember we worship a living God.
He allows things to happen...
Father we worship you.. in complete surrender and adoration and complete peace.. You are God and there is noone like you.
You are seated on the throne of heaven.. in the mighty name of Jesus
We are a divided nation
We are called to be light in this world, we are the people who stand together even if we disagree politically
We stand faithfully below the Lord.
Unite our hearts together.
Help us submit fully to you.. we are to walk in unity and praise for who you are and what you have done...
Bring people together.. despite our difference.. we see God who
in control of everything. We live according to Your word. Your truth.
Give us eyes to see what you are doing and saying… help us to live to glorify you and Honor you! Help us respond in Kindness to those who aren't seeing truth.
We honor you. we praise you.. we magnify you..
In Jesus name we pray..

A tender heart and a nurturing spirit. An impossible goal in our own strength, yet attainable-- but not automatic--graces for the true believer when yielded to the Holy Spirit. Beth Moore'
