Dear Friends,
I hope you've switched over to Roxane's Reflections from WOW Insiders so you'll continue to be a part of the devotionals and we can share and grow together. March 10th we are kicking of our WOW Insiders by doing a live event and focusing on the original intension of WOW Insiders...
So todays post is one I love and have lived so many times that now.. when God delays or doesn't answer the way I think He should... I remember TRUST GOD. The period after these powerful words is the key here....
I love this truth.. I would love to hear your stories of how God has shown you His best by closing a door you thought was the path He wanted and when He closed it you were devastated... BUT GOD... then showed you His plan was better than anything you could think or imagine.
I experienced this with Walk on Water. We thought we were supposed to open our first location in Winter Park. The door was closed and we were shocked. However, had we opened the first store in Winter Park, we would have most likely closed and there wouldn't be a lake Mary store... You see, Walk on Water is about our community, relationships and loving each other, being there for each other and carrying great products that help provide great gifts and items for our community, but mostly, the majority of the profit after we take care of our expenses goes back into our community to meet the need.
We needed to open our first location in Lake Mary in the town that we are from and where we know our community!
When I see a period after TRUST GOD... it is pretty definitive. We can't understand... yet one day we will...
When walking through the extreme valleys of life feeling like you'll never come out, God's word is where we go.. His truth... We are not living for this world... we are living for eternity.. Carpe Eternity (seize eternity)... every day He gives us a chance to live His truth, know Him more deeply, listen to the Holy Spirit as He directs our steps and share Him with others. That is why we are still here. He still has work for us to do..
1 Thessalonians 5:16-24
Is there something God has told you to do that seems too difficult? If He has called you to carry out His will, you can trust that He’s faithful to accomplish it through His Spirit living and working in you. So if you tell Him, “I can’t do that, Lord—what if I fail?” you’re actually doubting that God keeps His word. And yet, our total expectation should be in Him—not in our own energy, ability, or experience.
When you doubt God’s trustworthiness, unbelief becomes a gap in your spiritual armor, and it is where Satan wants to attack you. You’ll begin to doubt other elements of God’s character, such as His goodness—and distrust will become baggage that’ll weigh you down in every area of life.
You might feel that you do not have enough faith to obey, but the Lord isn’t asking you to trust in favorable circumstances. He’s asking you to believe that He is who He says He is.
It’s easy to doubt God when you’re focused on the obstacles in front of you, but when you fix your eyes on Him and believe what Scripture says about His faithfulness, then you can do anything He requires. No matter what lies ahead, remember that God is not a liar, and He is faithful. You’ll be strengthened by your dependence on Him—whether a deluge of trials or a flood of blessings comes.
It’s actually when life gets rough that you’ll recognize the reality and sweetness of God’s faithfulness. As you walk through those storms in complete reliance on His strength, your trust in His character will become part of who you are and provide strength from within.
Now my friends, if you agree, please say AMEN and PLEASE SHARE!!! You are wise beyond your years.. We need to grow together!!
Have a blessed and beautiful day my friends!
