Dear Precious Friends,
On this beautiful new day, this gift from God, I pray you are filled with hope as we walk in God's resurrection power. He is our hope, He is our everything. It is through Him we are made new, we have our strength in Him and when we cling to Him we receive new strength.
Recently, Rick and I went to North Carolina and the weather was really cold, snowy and most everything was brown and showing no signs of Spring. Then right in the middle of this would be a beautiful sign of daffodil. I was so taken aback that even underneath dead brush there would be such beautiful life. It was truly amazing. These beautiful flowers reminded me of hope, transformation and things to come. I could not keep my eyes off them. Seeing their beauty in the midst of darkness been a constant reminder of the hope we have in Him. The reminder that where there once was death there now is life, beautiful life. In the midst of winter we can not imagine the beauty that is to come. This is a visual reminder of all that is happening in our hearts when we purpose our lives in Christ.
On the outside it may not look like much is happening under the surface but we know that there is a lot of work going on under the soil, under His care. Roots are growing stronger, we are being strengthened and watered by His word and promises. We are breaking through rough terrain and rocky areas and pressing on and pushing up to the sunshine that we know is above. There is so much hard wonderful work happening. Soon enough our new life will sprout up and be in bloom. Our beautiful colors will be on display, we will be swaying freely in the breeze, the glorious sun shining upon me, we will be fragrant , full of life and a reflection of His handiwork. The dead will be gone and new life will appear, and we praise God for taking the time to nourish us through the darkness. We will bloom, when our season comes and until then we will keep trusting Him to guide us upwards towards the sun.
This beautiful reminder is the great reminder of how we are changing into a new creation in Christ. Because of Him what was dead will be alive. Because of Him we are made new. He is doing great work in us and He is shaping us to look more like Himself.
If we quiet ourselves before the Lord, and if we ask Him to open our eyes and our ears, He will teach us and show us things in this season that will give us fresh revelation from heaven. If we look and listen, the Lord will show us what He is doing in the earth today. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.” (Psalm 85:11 KJV)
As we embrace this beautiful weather and signs of growth all around us, let us see the expression of Almighty God speaking through His magnificent creation. There is revelation of truth all around us.
Abba Father, We pray for an illumination of your truth in this season. May the truth of your Word become real to us in our lives. We pray for revelation from heaven. Help us to absorb your Word in such a way that it grows up from within us – growing and growing so that it flows out of us and into our lives, our family, our church, and into all we come in contact with. Help us remember in the midst of a darker season, there is a new growth coming that is more beautiful than before. We cling to you as our hope knowing in you we have everything.
Amen.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Cor 5:17
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
