Dear Precious Friends,
As we embrace this gift of a new day, I have to share this incredible scripture that we can start and end our day with every single day. My Pastor shared the entire story of David and where He was coming from when He wrote Psalm 51. He was pleading for mercy, forgiveness, and cleansing.
CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART, O God, Renew a right spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me, Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you! Psalm 51:10-12
Oh friends, what a difficult time we have been in... If you are like me, my emotions can often go from one extreme to the next if I'm not grounded in God's word. This is where we must be reminded of the truth of God's word. I have often quoted Col 3:23 in my parenting of Branson over the years and I was listening to a message about Thriving from Christine Caine and realized I really needed to examine my heart. Colossians says " Whatever you do, do it with all your heart as unto the Lord whom you serve".
WOW...I love how God's word always teaches us no matter how many times we read it... What happens if our hearts are clogged like a clogged artery... then our heart is like plaque that looks like doubt, fear or other "pollution". What happens if we speak from our wounds?
Well I'm glad you asked...
That is immediately when we know we need a "detox" and need our heart cleansed where there is no more "junk coming out". That is when we pull away from the world, and sit with God at His feet or on our face, or out in His creation, or your war room.... however that looks for you... We must heal from the inside out or our passion and zest for Jesus and sharing Him with others will be gone as we are leaking every day and we must be filled!!! Nothing zaps our passion more than listening to voices that aren't from the Holy Spirit. We can't do this, But HE CAN and will!!!
What results is our words of light, encouragement and joy. He restores our passion which is the Holy Spirit that is alive in us and TRANSFORMS OUR HEART...
I pray you have a heart cleansing/detox today and remember these words of wisdom. There isn't one detail of our lives, that He doesn't know about. He gives us incredible power and assurance through the Holy Spirit. May we be certain that whatever we do, we do it with ALL OUR HEARTS as unto the Lord whom we serve ... making sure our hearts our cleaned out and renewed from our repentance, time with Him and His Presence.
