Christ Focused

Dear Precious Friends,
On this beautiful new day, I pray you are embracing this gift, and living this day as if it were your last. If you are reading this, you understand this and are seeking the Lord in every aspect of life.
"Teach me to number my days, so I can grow a heart of wisdom". Psalm 90:12
I absolutely love this amazing message today about true beauty. There is nothing more beautiful than a person who has exchanged their self focused life for a life that is Christ focused.
We all need to ask ourselves, what will be the center of our life?
We live in selfie world. We have "I" phones, "I" pads...
"I" everything...
What is the definition of sin? There's a reason there is an "I" in the middle of S"I"N... any time we do things our way it is sin!
Who or what are we living for? There are a lot of options. We can center our life around a career, a sport, a hobby, making money, or having fun.
There’s nothing wrong with any of these things if you are living for the world.... remember as Christians we are to be in the world, but not of the world... We are to turn our eyes to eternally significant purposes and walk in the Spirit... The things of this world, make a very flimsy, circumstancial, poor center for our lives. We need something at the center of our life that is absolutely unchanging, that can never be taken away from us. Because if it can, our security will be taken from us when our circumstance changes. We will always be under stress. We need something that is unchanging and secure.
Only one life twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last. We all have a vacuum inside of us that ONLY GOD can fill!!!
So how do we know we have exchanged the self focused life for a Christ centered life?
One of the ways we know that Jesus is at the center of our life is we worry less. Any time we start worrying, it should be a red flag, a warning sign that says, “I’ve allowed someone or something to become the center of my life instead of God.”
We could make a person the center of our life, and be under stress because that person can walk out of our life any time, or die or get sick.
There’s only one focus we can put at the center of our life that will never change and is strong enough to sustain us through life:
Jesus Christ.
I LOVE THIS EXAMPLE shared in Rick Warren's Purpose Driven life devo:
Do you remember years ago they used to have these things called Super Balls? When you bounced it on the ground, it’d go 30 or 40 feet high. Why? Because the center of a Super Ball was a tightly compacted, solid core. That’s what gave it its bounce-ability.
When your core is solid in God, you have bounce-ability. You bounce back from stress faster. You bounce back from problems faster. You bounce back from grief faster. You bounce back from crisis faster. You have something solid in your life that doesn’t change, and you worry less.
The Bible says in Philippians 4:6-7, “Instead of worrying, pray .... It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life” (MSG).
As Born Again Christians, we recognize there was a time in our life when we were really attention seeking and always just trying to serve ourselves. But God... When we met Jesus, He changed everything . Now our lives are full of contentment and joy, and we are no longer seeking things for ourselves but seeking things for Him,” .
“Every morning, pray ‘God, how would you like to use me today? Show me how you’d like to use me today’. And then just look for those opportunities to be used and trust that when you’re faithful in that, and when you’re courageous and bold in that, that he will use you,”
My friends, what amazing truth to remember as we go about our day. Let's live this truth as we radiate CHRIST in all our ways. RADIATE CHRIST!! JOYFUL EXPECTATION! These are words we can remember and remind ourselves when we pray and walk in the Spirit reflecting our Christ focused life in all we are and in all we do!
AMEN!
May be an image of text that says 'The most Beautiful women I've ever observed are those that have exchanged a self-focused life for a Christ-focused one. They are confident, but not in themselves. Instead of self-confidence, they radiate with Christ-confidence. Leshe Lby'
