9-11-01

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
Dear Precious Friends,
On this day we remember all who lost their precious lives and those who lost loved ones. We remember all the courageous men and women who laid down their lives to save others. We remember the incredible gift of freedom and the sacrifice given for this gift. We remember that our nation is one nation under God who banded together and embraced each other.
Our hearts are heavy on this day as we cry out to the Lord to comfort our nation and those who are still mourning the loss of precious loved ones... and to embrace each other and the precious gift of life.
In a single moment, life as we knew it was changed.
As we reflect on this day, we have 3 things to embrace ...
Faith in God, Unwavering Hope and Unending Love...
and the greatest of these is love. Through the shock and horror, something else happened 19 years ago.
THROUGH THE INTENTION OF EVIL our country embraced each other. Instead of division... we came together in unity. Instead of confusion... we have clarity. Instead of falling apart ...we banded together. BUT THEN AGAIN ...
That's the way one nation under God will always respond.
I pray as we are in these very uncertain times and all the division it has created, we will live out 2 Chronicles 7:14 especially during such a time as this.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land".
WE WILL NEVER FORGET THE HEROES OF 9-11-01
GOD BLESS YOU & GOD BLESS AMERICA.
Let's all pray today and remember those we lost, those who are greatly affected by 9/11. Let's remember the lessons learned and turn to God... repent and remember God is strong in our weakness. Deuteronomy 31:6 says " He will not leave you or forsake you." The strength of our Lord is always with us.
We desperately need a spiritual renewal in this country, and God has told us in His Word time after time that we need to repent of our sins and return to Him, and He will bless us in a new way.
There also is hope for the future because of God’s promises. As a Christian, I have hope, not just for this life, but for heaven and the life to come. And many of those people who died on 9/11 are in heaven now. And they wouldn’t want to come back. It’s so glorious and so wonderful. That is the hope for all of us who put our faith in God. I pray that you will have this hope in your heart.
This event reminds us of the brevity and the uncertainty of life. We never know when we too will be called into eternity. I doubt if those people who got on those planes or who walked into the World Trade Center or the Pentagon on Tuesday thought that it would be the last day of their lives. And that’s why we each must face our own spiritual need and commit ourselves to God and His will.
I'm completely committed... who will join me?
Let's go out today and share His love with all we come in contact with.
AMEN
